Randy Lee Oxley January 1, 1955 – June 17, 2024
Randy Lee Oxley passed away peacefully after a long illness on June 17, 2024. He was the son of the late Kenneth and Marjorie (Carpenter) Oxley, and a lifelong resident of Cranston. As 1973 graduate of Cranston High School West, he learned the print trade and began his career at Crosstown Press and then moved to Colonial Printing where he worked until his retirement. Randy's passion for youth football led him to coach for over twenty years at Cranston West, the CLCF Chiefs, and Coventry Rams. His dedication and mentorship touched the lives of many young athletes. An enthusiastic sports fan, Randy was known for his unwavering support for Ohio State, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Montreal Canadiens. Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Friend, Dog Owner & Coach- those were the roles that meant the most to Randy. He was a big man with an even bigger heart, who spent his life loving and caring for those in his circle and their lives were immeasurably blessed for his presence.
He was the beloved brother of Ken and Martha Oxley of Haddon Township, New Jersey, Marty Oxley of Cranston, John Oxley and Elaine Merryfield of Medway, Maine and the late Jean Oxley. He was a devoted uncle to Marty and Deb Oxley of Cranston, Melanie and Tommy Oxley-Aversa of Warwick, Kevin Oxley of Philadelphia and the late Kenneth Oxley. He was preceded in death by his loyal canine companions Tylo, Muffin, Thumper and Isis. Randy left behind numerous family and friends who will continue to be inspired by his legacy of dedication, love, and cherished memories. May he rest in eternal peace.
