Rebekah P. Coffman

Rebekah P. Coffman, age 87, of Seymour, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023, at Lutheran Community Home, Seymour.
Rebekah was a member of Seymour First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Coffman was a registered nurse at Schneck Medical Center for more than 35 years. She loved quilting, especially volunteering for Quilts of Valor, providing quilts for veterans returning from active duty.
Born on August 26, 1935, in Smiths Grove, Kentucky, Rebekah was the daughter of Earl and Vira Byers Cowles, both of whom preceded her in death. In 1987, in Brownstown, she married Robert D. Coffman, and he preceded her in death on October 17, 1999.
Survivors include two nephews: Trent Cowles of Indianapolis, and Jeff Arbuckle of Morgantown, West Virginia; two nieces: Cindy Lohr of Scottsburg, and Pam Arbuckle of Aurora, Colorado; and dear friends, Connie Hoene and Bobbi Lewis, who supported, encouraged, and assisted her for many years.
Rebekah was also preceded in death by one sister, Frances Arbuckle; and two brothers: James D. Cowles and Robert Cowles.
A graveside service for Rebekah P. Coffman will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown.
