Reynaldo Diaz Rios

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Reynaldo D. Rios, a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all whose lives he touched. Born on January 12, 1961, in Karnes City, Texas, Reynaldo lived a robust and fulfilling life until his passing on May 8, 2024. A lifelong resident of Pettus, Texas, Reynaldo embodied the spirit of his community through his steadfast service, unyielding kindness, and his contagious laughter that echoed through the hearts of all who knew him.
Reynaldo was a dedicated employee of the City of Beeville Water Department, where his eight years of diligence, work ethic, and amiable nature made him a beloved figure. He was the backbone of his team, a supportive colleague, and a reliable friend. Reynaldo's dedication to his profession mirrored his commitment to his family and his friends, making him a pillar of strength and support in their lives. His love for his family was palpable and profound, and he took great joy in his nine grandchildren, whose lives he enriched with his wisdom and love.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Rafaela Rios, and his father-in-law, Sebastian Alejandro.
Reynaldo is survived by his loving wife Sandra Rios, his daughters Jenelle Rios and Amanda (Christopher Cardenas) Steele, his step-son Jonathan (Debra) Garza, and his god-son Ruben (Rissy) Garza II. He also leaves behind his siblings, Robert (Marcy) Rios, Freddy (Becky) Rios, Pedro Rios III, Yolanda Garcia, and Cynthia Ann (Rodney) Anderson, and his mother-in-law Erlinda Alejandro. Reynaldo is also survived by his nine grandchildren along with a host of relatives and friends. Each of these loved ones carry Reynaldo's legacy forward, cherishing his memory and celebrating his extraordinary life.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024, at 5:00 pm at Trevino Funeral Home, followed by a Rosary to be held by Deacon Santos Jones at 7:00 pm. Mr. Rios will lie in state from 9am - 10am on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, the Funeral Mass will be held by Father RJ Regalado at 10:00 am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pettus, Texas. Interment will follow at 11:15 am at Pettus Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Garza, Ruben Garza II, Marcos Diaz, Robert Rios, Rodney Worley, and Christopher Cardenas.
