Richard J. Gwizdala "Mr. G" "Richie"
Bay City, Michigan
Our beloved father, grandfather, and dear friend to everyone he met along his earthly journey passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Brian's House, age 87. Rich was born March 15, 1937, in Bay City to the late John and Mary (Jarczynski) Gwizdala. He was a veteran and served his country with the Army National Guard as a sharpshooter. He married Darlene Carmichael, and she predeceased him in 1984. Rich would later marry Kristine Jean and she predeceased him in 2018. He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Stanislaus Church. Rich retired from Sears after several years of dedicated service. He was an avid outdoorsman, often going hunting and fishing with his nephew Teddy and many longtime friends and neighbors. Rich will be missed for his calm personality, strong work ethic, gold heart to help anyone in need, wonderful smile, and profound sense of humor.
Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters Debra A. Gwizdala and Tammy (Bill) Gwizdala-Brown, grandchildren: Cengiz Salman, Zekiye (Jonathon) Lukco and Justin Brown, special nephew Teddy (Carol) Raymaker, many other nephews, nieces, and brother-in-law Ted "Bear" (Melvena) Carmichael. Rich was predeceased by his siblings: Rose (John) Slenzak, Georgia (Frank) Skrzypczak, Evelyn (George) LaRoche, John (Laura) Gwizdala, Francis "Perk" (Pauline) Gwizdala, and Delores "Nina" (Theodore) Raymaker.
Per Rich's request, cremation will take place and no services will be held. Private inurnment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery later. Stories, photos, and condolences may be left for the family on the funeral home website under the Tribute Wall section at www.ambrosefuneralchapel.com.

Rich was a good friend of my dad and part of the Sears family. I have never met anyone who was as kind and friendly as Richie. He was a member of the FUMES. God speed Rickie, you will be missed.
