Richard R. Hoehne, Sr. passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side on Friday, December 16, 2022. Beloved husband of Sharon Hoehne and the late Joyce Hoehne; dear father of Victor E. (Lisa), Richard R. Jr. (Denise) and Chris (Kari) Hoehne; dear step-father of Cindi (Ron) Hausman, Mark Overton, Douglas Overton and Matthew (Ashley) Overton; dear brother of Carol, Jackie, Donna, Rev. Ron and the late William; loving grandfather and step-grandfather of 10, great-grandfather of 8, dear uncle, great-uncle and friend to many.
Rich was a wonderful Christian, a good official, and a terrible RC plane pilot. He loved his Lord, family, community, and the Cardinals (most of the time). If you lucky enough to be family, he was your friend and biggest supporter. If you were a friend, you were family and Rich never met a stranger. Throughout his life, he found many joys and faced many challenges more complex and complicated than those before. He never changed. His calm and patient grace will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 20, from 4-8 p.m. at Bopp Capel, 10610 Manchester Road., Kirkwood, Mo. Funeral service will be Wednesday, December 21, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at Bopp Chapel with interment to follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lutheran Children and Family Services.
