Nancy and I send our condolences to Kathy and family. Dick was a good friend. We worked together for many years for the Town, he for the Selectmen, me for the Board of Health. Anyone playing on Chadwick soccer fields 1,2 and 3; Johnson softball field; or the girls' softball field at the Spofford Road site have Dick to thank. Besides his own hard work in these and many, many other Town projects, I was always amazed at his ability to involve volunteers and secure donations to build at minimal costs to the Town. we also had a lasting friendship past the projects we worked on. I shared and was grateful for his humor, honesty and love for his family and friends. I'll miss you, Dick.

My sincerest condolences to Kathy and family, Richard will be missed by all who knew him. I remember going thru high school with "Ziggy" an education worth an extra diploma. Memorial Day triple header softball games at Clarke School playground, after school meetings at his house for peanut butter and marshmallow sandwiches, his ford convertible cruising through Swampscott roads. A true friend who was always fun to be with. Many memories taking me back in time.

Drew, I am truly sorry for your loss. The loss of a father is painful, but there is strength in knowing you were there with him until the end. May your dad rest in peace knowing there is no more pain and he can now watch from a far. Take Care and you will be in my thoughts.
