Robert Lee Boyd

Robert "Bobby" Lee Boyd, 87, of Cartersville passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at home.
Born in Maryville, Tennessee on November 27, 1936, he was the son of the late Marion Boyd and the late Geraldine Smith Boyd. He is also preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Margie Lois Boyd; his son Danny Lee Boyd; and siblings Jack Boyd, Billy Boyd, Junior Boyd, Della Faye Teague, and Jenna Mae Adams.
Bobby loved the Lord and going to New Canaan Church where he was a member. He was very generous and loved helping others. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved his family with all his heart and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a master brick mason for over 70 years. When he was younger, he often enjoyed trips to the Smokey Mountains and Florida with his wife Margie. He enjoyed raising vegetables and cattle farming; he loved his animals with a passion. He was a very skilled hunter, particularly in deer hunting and rabbit hunting. He loved to watch NASCAR and enjoyed buying new trucks.
Survivors include his son, Tony Boyd and wife Linda; grandchildren Candice Jones and her husband Walter and Colby Boyd and his wife Heather; great grandchildren Reagan Jones, Mason Jones, Aubrey Boyd, and Layla Boyd; brother Jerry Don Boyd; and sister Linda Sue Barron.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Marvin Cordele, Greg Hall, and Dennis Huskins officiating. Burial will follow at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm on Wednesday prior to the service.
Serving as pallbearers will be Colby Boyd, Walter Jones, Tim Nichelson, Eli Nichelson, Darrell Jordan, and Richie Foley.
