Bob was not only my father in-law but he was also my best friend. I will always love Bob and thanks to the grace of God I will see him again on the other side. Until then I will so miss him. Johnny and I couldn't have had a better friend. You always welcomed us in your home and treated us like royalty. I am so glad Johnny was able to be with you during your trips to Vanderbelt. I know it gave the both of you quality time. Johnny is gone now and I was so glad I got to speak with you on your birthday. I will miss the poems and the stories, also your smile. As everyone has commented on here, "Thank you for being my friend".

To the Madison Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

Robert was the kind of person I wish I could be like. He always had a kind word for everyone & everyone loved him. I loved his poems & I loved the man. the truest friend I ever had.
