Ronald Berrier Obituary

Ronald Berrier, 88, of Swisher, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. A private family burial will take place at Pennington Cemetery in Sigourney. Ronald was born on September 6, 1936, in Wapello County, the son of Dwight and Dorothy (Loy) Berrier. He graduated from Agency High School in 1954 and later served in the United States Army. On August 9, 1964, he was united in marriage to Donna Jacobs in Sigourney, Iowa. Ronald spent his career in the transportation industry and had a passion for fishing, woodworking, and automobiles. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna; his children, Stephanie (Alex) Elzein, Stacey Berrier, and Stephen Berrier; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Delores Jacobs; brothers-in-law, Richard (Carol) Jacobs and Gene Parker; as well as many nieces and nephews. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Donna Parker; and brothers-in-law, Bill Jacobs, Alan Jacobs, and Frank (Evelyn) Jacobs. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
