Ronald D. Heacock

Ronald D. Heacock, 71 of Lima, passed away on Monday June 8, 2015 at Lima Memorial Hospital. Ronald was born June 30, 1943 in Doylestown, Pennsylvania to Claude and Kathryn (Wasser) Heacock. His father is deceased; his mother survives in Souderton, Pennsylvania. Also surviving is a daughter, Elizabeth (Matthew) Briggs of Lima; three grandchildren Devin Burgess (Kati Liles) of Cridersville, Ethan Briggs of Columbus and Carly Briggs of Lima; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Von Hartmann. He was a 1961 graduate of Pennridge High School Perkasie, PA. He received his Bachelor's degree from Bluffton College Bluffton, OH in 1964 and a Master's degree from Clark University Wooster, MA in 1965. He enjoyed studying American History and following presidential politics. He was a life-long member of Deep Run West Mennonite Church in Perkasie, PA. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Bluffton University General Scholarship Fund.
