Rosetta Florence

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Rosetta Norma Florence of Spruce Grove, Alberta, on May 27, 2023, at the age of 79-our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and pastor.
She will be remembered by her loving spouse of 58 years, Alexander; son Roy (Sandra), daughter Jayne (Fred) Frank; grandchildren Daniel, Brady, Emma, and Romona Florence, and April and Nathan Frank; her Scottish family; as well as numerous friends and members of Joseph's Storehouse Christian Ministries.
Rosetta was so many things to so many people. As a wife, she doted on her husband and cared for him tirelessly. As a mother, she was loving, kind, compassionate, gracious, generous, and forgiving. As a pastor and friend, she was sacrificial, selfless, consistent-a safe place in any storm. As a child of God, she served in every capacity possible. She was a visionary, she was creative, she was so full of love for everyone. She was a spiritual guide who taught everyone around her to love their families, to love their life, to appreciate all of God's blessings. And she was fun! She laughed and sang and danced, both for worship and for joy.
Rosetta saw the good in everyone and everything. She helped the poor, the needy, the seeking, the lost; she was a friend and confidante to all. She asked for nothing in return. Many lives have been changed forever because of knowing her.
In lieu of flowers, donations for Papa Alexander's retirement fund and ongoing care would be appreciated and can be donated to office@jscm.ab.ca. Charitable receipts are available upon request. Celebration of Life for Rosetta Florence will be held on June 17, 2023, at 12:00 p.m., at Spruce Grove Community Church: 180 Century Road, Spruce Grove, Alberta.
