Sally Roehr Obituary

Sally was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on July 12, 1940 to the late Roland and Laura (Lakeland) Feldkamp. She graduated from Reitz High School in 1958. Sally owned and operated Sally's Yarn Shop for five years. Sally and her husband, Wayne were instrumental in starting Gold's Gym downtown Evansville and owned it from 1981 until they sold in 1987. She also worked at GFI Pharmaceuticals from 1987 until her retirement in 2002. Sally's faith in Christ was her greatest attribute. She enjoyed Bible studies, gardening, needlepoint and cross stitch. Sally adored her family and loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her contagious smile and loving, gracious heart will be remembered by all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Sally is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Wayne Roehr of Evansville, IN; and daughters, Donna Winternheimer (Philip) of Marion, KY, Kathy Lear (Mike) of Gentryville, IN and Julie Bell of Evansville, IN; sister, Suzanne Ebinger; grandchildren, Ryan Smith (Jill), Jillian Watson, Sally Carter (Seth), Paige Atchison (Hunter), Sage Tinsley (Jake), Amy Cummins (Ryan), Emily Eastham (Jon), Samantha Beckham (Kenny), Cyndi Hines (Andy) and Bailey Bell (McKenzi); 19 great grandchildren with one on the way.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Donald Feldkamp.
A celebration of Sally's life will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Carl Mann officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Browning Funeral Home and again from 9:00 am until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wesselman's Park, 551 N. Boeke Rd., Evansville, IN 47714.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Deaconess Hospice and Dr. Christi Pagett for all of their compassionate care given to Sally.
