Sandra was born on April 14, 1945 to Frank and Mary Lois Irene (Buckles) Rezen in Pittsburg, KS. She attended Pittsburg Schools and graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1963. She married Bobby D. Kennett on September 15, 1963, in Pittsburg, KS. He preceded her in death on December 6, 2017. Sandra worked for Martinous Produce for over 15 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and baking for her grandchildren. Membership was held at the Countryside Christian Church.
She is survived by a son, Steve Kennett (Jennifer) of Olathe, KS; a daughter, Sherri Houfek (Craig) of Olathe, KS; a sister, Mary J. Wintle (William) of Pittsburg, KS; five grandchildren, Kacey and Brett Kennett and Drew, Hunter, and Hayli Houfek. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, Frank Rezen.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 13th, 2024 at 1:30 PM in the Brenner Mortuary with Dan Muter officiating. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 12th, 2024 from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Brenner Mortuary in Pittsburg, KS. Memorial donations can be made to Olathe Hospice House. These may be left at or mailed to Brenner Mortuary 114 E 4th St. Pittsburg KS 66762. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS.
