Shardaben Shankarbhai Patel, of Franklin Park, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Arista Care Cedar Oaks in South Plainfield. She was 87. Born in Pipalia Gujarat, India, she came to the United States in 1994 and resided in Franklin Park. Shardaben enjoyed singing, reading, knitting and doing crossword puzzles. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. She's predeceased by her parents Shankarbhai and Raiben Patel and her sisters Zaver, Shanta, Savita and Manju Patel. Surviving is her husband of 70 years, Shankarbhai Patel; her son Gaurav (Jignasha) Patel of Franklin Park, her daughters Priti (Bhaskar) Patel of Franklin Park and Dr. Seema (Ashvin) Patel of Kissimmee, FL; her sister Kanta Patel of India; and 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Pooja services will be held on Wednesday, January 18th, from 9:30 – 11:30 am at Franklin Memorial Park, Rt. 27 & Cozzens Lane, North Brunswick. Arrangements are by The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. You may sign the online obituary "guestbook" at www.crabiel.com
