Shih - Chuan Cheng Obituary
Dr. Shih-Chuan Cheng, 78, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away on October 20, 2025. Dr. Cheng was born in Xiamen, China on May 14, 1947, grew up in Taiwan, and continued his education and career in the U.S He earned his PhD at Florida State University. He was a Professor Emeritus for the Department of Mathematics at Creighton University, where he worked for over 40 years. He was a talented self-taught artist and Chinese calligrapher. Dr. Cheng is survived by his wife, Lin Zhao; sons, Hudson Cheng and Dr. H. Wesley Cheng; stepson, George Shang; daughter-in-law, Dr. Jessica Jones; grandchildren, Samantha, William and Grandpa the Cat; sister, brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation on Monday, November 3rd, from 5-7pm. At Roeder Mortuary on 2727 N 108th st.
