Shirley F. Possinger

Shirley F. Possinger, 92, formerly of Stroudsburg, died Thursday evening, September 29, 2022, at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth. She was the wife of the late Ralph J. Edinger who died September 8, 1979 and the late William Possinger who died April 17, 2005.
Born on January 31, 1930 in East Stroudsburg, she was a daughter of the late Horace and Hattie (Possinger) Frantz and was a lifetime resident of Monroe County.
She worked for the Stroudsburg Area School District as a cafeteria worker at Morey Elementary, Stroudsburg Junior High and Stroudsburg High School.
Shirley was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Stroudsburg.
Surviving are a daughter, Sherry Josephs (wife of the late Howard Josephs) of Monroeville; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Josephs and Jeffrey H. Josephs and his wife Brooke; three great grandchildren, Alicia Scott, Alanah Scott and Paxton Josephs; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Carrie Masten, Raymond Frantz, George Frantz and Franklin Frantz.
Services will be held on Friday, October 7th, from the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg with visitation beginning at 10:00AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00AM with Rev. Elizabeth Koerner officiating. Burial will follow at Stroudsburg Cemetery.
