Steve was born in Evansville, Indiana on March 17, 1960 to the late John Daniel and Betty Jean (Baize) Doty. He graduated from North High School and went on to receive his degree from Ivy Tech. Steve worked for Emergency Radio Services for over 12 years and was a valuable member of the Evansville Service Team. He was very intelligent and was always on the cutting edge of technology. He enjoyed fishing and talking with people all over the world on his Ham radio. Steve loved all animals, especially his cat, Skeeter.
Steve is survived by his sisters, Patti Bartley (Tom) of Evansville, IN and Amy Gelinas (Jim Tate) of Newburgh, IN; brother, Chris Doty (Tiffany Simmons) of Evansville, IN; many nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews; and by his cat, Skeeter.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tom Doty; niece, Jennifer Sulawski; and by his nephew, Ryan Doty.
A celebration of Steve's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Larry Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Vanderburgh Humane Society, P.O. Box 6711, Evansville, IN 47719.

Steve was the service ech for one my accounts in Eansville for a time. I always looked forward to spending a few minutes with him. He was a pleasent aquaintance and a real sharp professional.

I worked with Steve for 10 years at Tristate Communications and Emergency Radio Service. He was a great source for technical advice. He is missed by us all. My condolences to his family.
