Steven Kolar Obituary

Born in Yugoslavia on November 25, 1935, he was the son of the late Josef and Ana Keckler Kolar. Steve had worked as a foreman for Manbeck's and then Farmer's Pride. He also had his own chicken catching crew that he contracted out to Farmer's Pride. He enjoyed watching baseball, going to Hollywood Casino, and horseracing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters Deborah L. wife of Donald Sands, Sr., of Myerstown, Karen L. wife of Dale Rittle of Fredericksburg, and Joette M. Weikel of Jonestown; brothers Joseph Kolar of Fredericksburg and Tony Kolar of Hollywood, FL; sisters Anna Zimmerman of Fredericksburg, Elizabeth Deitzler of Fredericksburg, and Mary Croce of Grantville; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey S. Kolar and brother Wencel Kolar.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
