Susanne Isbill Obituary
Susanne graduated from Linton High School in Schenectady, NY, in 1958, and went on to earn a degree in Liberal Arts from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY, in 1964. She furthered her education with a master's degree in Curriculum & Administration from Trenton State College, NJ, in 1974.
She dedicated her career to teaching in the Pemberton School District, NJ, and continued her passion for education by teaching at the Episcopal Church in Trenton, NJ, after retirement. In 2012, Susanne and her husband, Lee, moved to Nokomis, where she became an active member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Venice.
Sue had a deep love for her Shih Tzus and all animals, enjoyed basking in the sun, and relished listening to Willie and friends at every opportunity. Her life was marked by volunteer work and selfless acts of kindness, impacting many lives through her service.
Susanne is survived by her son, Andrew Phelps of Montgomery, Texas; a step - daughter, Rebecca Isbill of Cloverdale, Indiana; and a step-son, Marcus Isbill of Cheyenne, Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her husband, Shirley "Lee" Isbill; her son, Christopher Phelps; and her brother, Jerry Markley.
Services will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Venice, Fl. March 27th at 11am.
