PRESQUE ISLE: On March 6, 2024, Teresa, 84, peacefully and unexpectedly passed at home. She was born June 12, 1939 to Henry Donovan & Violet Cronkite Mailman. Teresa graduated from Washburn District High School in 1956. She met Thomas Thibodeau and they were married in 1958 in Virginia and raised their children, Thomas, Jr. & Tracie in Presque Isle. Teresa was employed for a short time for the telephone company and then the rest of her working career (54 years) at Harding's Law Office. She was a devoted member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where she connected with her husband, Arthur Moreau. Teresa was the most generous, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, wife, sister, aunt and friend. She never judged anyone and had a heart of gold. Teresa lived for her family, dancing and music. In her earlier years, her and Tom used to square and line dancing every weekend at places like Spruce Haven and Dean's Motor Lodge at Portage Lake where they had a camp since the mid-1970's. She has spent many hours traveling across the border to Canada to dance and listen to music as well as Fort Fairfield VFW, and Campers Paradise in Westfield. Teresa and her husband Arthur also have been the organizers of weekly music for seniors at the Sargent Family Community Center for years.
Teresa is survived by her husband Arthur Moreau of 9 years, One daughter Tracie & Jerry Morris and a daughter-in-law Lori Thibodeau, siblings; Henry Donovan, Jeremiah Donovan, Daniel & Nancy Donovan, Dolores & Bruce Roope, six grandchildren, Jill & Jeff Willette, Kelly & Jay Lamoreau, Jonathan & Lucas Higgins and Taylor & Erica, five great-grandsons, Noah & Jase Willette, Jack & Tucker Lamoreau & Aiden Higgins. She had many special friends and acquaintances. Teresa was predeceased by her parents, sisters, Dolly & Diane Donovan, a brother Paul Donovan, husband, Thomas Thibodeau, Sr. and her son, Thomas Thibodeau, Jr.
Teresa will be remembered for her crazy "tricks" she gave out on Halloween as well as her infectious smile, laugh and personality.
Relatives and friends may call 10AM Thursday March 14, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church Parish of the Precious Blood where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11AM. There will be a celebration of Teresa's life with refreshments at the K of C Hall, Presque Isle following the service. Committal services will be in the spring at Fairmount Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating in her memory to the Sargent Family Community Center-Senior Activities, 24 Chapman Road, Presque Isle or the local C.A.N.C.E.R. A life long friendship with Teresa, my classmate Tom Thibodeau, his Mom and family lived in Blotner's Trailer Park (and Yes, I enjoyed some of those halloween treats). Theresa and her husband used to share with my parents their love of dance at the many dance halls throughout Aroostook County back in the day, I often times was present during receptions, or just Saturday Night dances at the VFW, KofC Hall, something Pines, etc... Whenever I was in town, I tried to make it to a KofC Dance, guess who was always there??? Yup, and we would share and catch up on the many people in our lives that crossed paths. Yes, I always had to dance with her, it was tradition, and she was a lot of fun to dance with. Happy, is how I remember Teresa, loving, caring, sweet, a very dear and caring human. Miss her already, hope I can make it up to her special day. Hugs to the Family! Keith and Barb Forbes
