Rev. Thomas C. Piel
Received the Crown of Life on November 15, 2023 age 73 years. Thomas was born in Milwaukee, WI March 2, 1950. He met his wife Vicki on February 2, 1973 and on May 25, 1974 they were united in Marriage in Missouri. Together they have 2 children Jeffrey and Philip. Rev. Piel graduated from Concordia University, Nebraska in 1972 and with a Masters of Divinity from the Seminary in 1976. He was ordained into the Ministry at Sherman Park Lutheran Church on June 13, 1976, his first call as an associate Pastor was to Elyria, Ohio from 1976-1978, then Concordia Lutheran Church in Waterloo, Iowa 1978-1985, Nazareth Lutheran Church Milwaukee, WI 1985-2005 and then continued to assist in pastoral duties at Lutheran Church of the Prince of Peace, Menomonee Falls and briefly with St. Martini Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, WI. Rev. Tom is survived by his wife Vicki (Nee Thompson), children; Jeffrey (Tasha) Piel and Phil Piel, grandchildren; Chase and Casyn Piel, 2 sisters; Joanne (Herb) Schoenherr and Karen (Mike) Anas. He is also survived by a sister-in-law; Mavis (Jerry) Roesch, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents; Elroy (Violet) Piel and a brother; Daniel.
Visitation Monday November 27 at The Lutheran Church of the Prince of Peace, W156 N7149 Pilgrim Road from 4:00 PM-5:45 PM followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM. Private Interment Wisconsin Memorial Park.
