Troy McDonald loved life to the fullest and lived his dream. He had his own business and helped many. You could see him working easily 7 days a week, and his door was always open. People from all over came here. Troy new his engines well, and there was nothing like the sound when he tested them out in his well ventilated shop. Troy has always loved racing whether it be cars, boats, snowmobiles. From an early age,, Troy
had his first little snowmobile at age 5. Troy loved water and spent many hours at Clear Lake.
Troy and I spent alot of time when he was very young, and as he grew older, we'd ride the 2 seat Oydessey around the Clapsaddle farm of his grandparents. I can remember so well his little face looking up at me and saying, "Aunt 'Bob' (he couldn't say Barb)..when I grow up I'm going to be a raceway driver and have lots of cars..
Troy's dream did come true. Troy was always happy, smiling, joking around, and certainly was very open minded, especially to telemarketing calls..lol. He took in a baby raccoon and had fun with it, nursing it to health, he loved taking pictures and joking with his daughters and grandkids... I am thankful for his knowledge and checking what was wrong on my vehicle with his high dollar car computer, or test driving it, whether it was in the morning, or evening.
He will be missed, and the shop just won't be the same, and I'll miss hearing, "howdy, what can I do for you today"... or," Where ya at? I'll get my trailer and get the GMC and give you my loaner".. I will miss Troy tremendously, as he still always remained my nephew.
My heart goes out to his wife, Tammy, and his daughter, Mindy and her family, as well as his co-workers, and all great friends.. may you be racing in the sky's of heaven...
