Tyce Smith Obituary
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with eulogist, Minister Cheryl Smith and officiant, Rev. Kenny Anderson. A visitation will also be held on Saturday from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on June 13, 1971, in Maury County, Tyce was the son of Robert Huston Green and Lena Mai Smith Frey. Tyce accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age at Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Percy Clark.
Tyce was educated in the Maury County School System where he played baseball and graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1989 and later went to Columbia State Community College.
Tyce enjoyed coaching his son in different sports. His favorite past time was cooking, sports, playing games, and enjoying friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Tyus Anderson, brothers, Rodrick Green, Curtis Frey, Tony Frey, sisters, Melissa Neil, Carla Frey, grandmother, Hazel Toreda Smith, best friend, Jermaine Lipscomb, devoted friend, Princess Anderson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his step father, Herbert Frey, step son, Travonte Anderson, grandmother, Clara Jean Green, and grandfather, James Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will include all of his devoted friends.
