Born in Puctec, Albania, he came to the United States in 1994 settling in Paterson, NJ. He was devoted to caring for his family; raising five kids while working as a technician. He loved gardening, home renovation projects, and repairing vehicles. Also enjoyed traveling, discussing history and politics, especially in regards to his Eastern European heritage.
Vasil was survived by his wife, Fania Vangelovska; his five children; Olimbija Navalta and her husband Danny Navalta of Philadelphia, PA; Dolja Derrot and her husband Patrick Derrot of Verona, NJ; Sotirka Vangelovska Khalil and her husband Mohamed Khalil of Wayne, NJ; Ilinka Weisglas and her husband Keith Weisglas of Ringwood, NJ; and Petre Vangelovski of Hackensack, NJ. He is also survived by his six grandchildren; Ian Navalta, Arya Khalil, Gabriella Derrot, Ayden Khalil, Sophia Derrot, and Margeaux Weisglas.
Visitation will be 4-8 pm on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Little Falls. Livestream of the Visitation is available by CLICKING HERE.
The funeral begins at 10:15 am Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home followed by church service at 11:00 am at St. Nikola Macedonian Orthodox Church, 55 Wentick Street, Totowa, NJ 07512. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.
