Virginia Eaton

Mrs. Virginia Burns Eaton, 70, of Grenada, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023 at her residence. She was born May 2, 1953 in Coffeeville to Wilson F. and Katie Mae Dorris Burns. Virginia was a graduate of Coffeeville High School and earned a business degree with honors from California State University. While living in California, she also earned a law degree from Peninsula School of Law and was admitted to practice law in California, Arizona and Mississippi. She and her husband of 50 years, Ron, later moved to Tucson, AZ and spent 18 years there before retiring back to their home state of Mississippi. During retirement, Virginia was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed spoiling her cats. Virginia will long be remembered for her sharp intellect and quick wit.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Dr. Kevin Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will gather from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service Tuesday at McKibben and Guinn.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Ron Eaton; sister, Grace Duffield of Tulsa, OK; three brothers, Ralph Burns of Pearl, Daniel Burns of Antlers, OK and Richard Burns of Johnson City, TN; sister-in-law, Patricia Burns of Duck Hill and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Margaret Burns and a brother, Joseph Burns.
