Virginia B. Hall passed away on January 21st, 2025, peacefully with her family at her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Buchanan and Pearl Williams Buchanan of Mitchell County. She was born in Mitchell County on January 15, 1935. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack Hall, of 59 years; two sisters: Opal Funderburk and Jean Hall; brother, Jerry Buchanan; and an infant son, Curtis Stewart Hall.
Left to cherish her memory is a son, Chuck Hall (Kym) of Fort Mill, SC; daughter, Beverly Wright (David) of Asheville, NC; grandchildren: John Hall (Jennifer) of Waxhaw, NC, Jacqueline Frey (Brian) of Roanoke, VA, Paul Wright (Madison) of Raleigh, NC and Ashlyn Hall of Fort Mill, SC; five great-grandchildren: June, James, Caroline, Jack Henry and Beau; and a special niece, Susan Mitchell of Raleigh. She is also survived by a very special friend, R.J. (Ronnie) Robinson of Candler. Also, several nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law, and good friends that she loved very much.
Virginia retired from Bell South and served on the Board of Directors for Telco Credit Union for twenty-seven years, and served on the North Carolina Credit Union Commission. She served as President of Buncombe County Republican Women's Club and was a member of Telephone Pioneers. She was also active in community affairs.
Virginia was an active member of West Asheville Baptist Church and Fishers of Men Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.
An inurnment will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 3rd at Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Speaker will be Eddie Williams.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605, or Four Seasons Hospice, 211 N. Main Street, Hendersonville, NC 28792, or West Asheville Baptist Church Building Fund.

I didn´t personally know Mrs. Hall but her niece Susan (my mother-in-law ) thought so highly of her Aunt! I´ve heard lots of great stories! Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always. Hugs to you all!
