"Blessed are those that mourn, for they will be comforted." Matthew 5:4
Vivian Snyder Alexander was born on December 13, 1954, in Vero Beach, Florida to the late Earl Snyder Sr. and the late Mildred Taylor Snyder. Vivian was the proud and doting mother of two children, Lavell Deon Davis, Sr. and Dr. Tunicia LaShay Davis. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Snyder Sr., mother, Mildred Taylor Snyder, brothers Earl Snyder Jr. and Ronald Snyder Sr., aunts, Doris Bowen and Marian Fletcher, and nephews, Darrell Keith Taylor, Earl Snyder III, Kevin Snyder, and Jamaal Williams. Vivian, affectionately known as Cook, was educated in the school system of Indian River County where she graduated with the Class of 1972 from Vero Beach High School. Vivian would go on to be employed EOC of Indian River County HeadStart as a classroom teacher and later as the cook for several different schools for over 25 years. How befitting as she was known to be a great cook and baker, hence why her nickname was "Cook". Vivian was a faithful and dedicated member of Staten Temple Church of God by Faith, Wabasso, Florida under the leadership of Elder Charlie Jones. On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, God dispatched his angels and said, "Well Done Thy Good and Faithful Servant", it's time to come home. Vivian passed away peacefully at home and the loss has been felt by many. She was a devoted mother, a nurturing grandmother, a loving sister, and a loyal friend. Her great cooking, loving spirit, and love for birthdays will forever remain in our hearts as we share fond memories of her life and legacy. Vivian's life will forever be cherished by the ones she has left behind. She is survived by her loving and devoted children: son Lavell Deon Davis, Sr. of Wabasso, Florida and daughter, Dr. Tunicia LaShay Davis of Port St. Lucie, Florida. Grandchildren: Deondra Davis of Vero Beach, Florida, Lavell and Lakell Davis of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. Great Granddaughter: Marlee Hope of Vero Beach, Florida. Siblings: Earlene Latson, Louise Williams (Thomas), Albert Snyder Sr. (Celena), Cherry Ann Jones, Frances Snyder, Joyce Williams, and Vincent Snyder Sr. as well a host of nieces, nephews, and sorrowing family and friends.
