Waldemar Gerhardt Stern

Waldemar Gerhardt Stern, 82, of Demopolis, AL, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2011 at Woodhaven Manor Nursing Home in Demopolis. Waldemar was born January 15, 1929 in Plum City, WI to the late Maxamillian F. and Vera Wilkins Stern. He is survived by his loving wife Marjory Ann Stern (nee Sartore), son Ronald (Kathy) Stern of Hustisford, WI, daughters Cynthia M. (Ken) Nichols of Scottsville, NY and Margaret A. Christian of Horicon, WI. Grandfather to Amy, Kimberly, Michael, Zachary, Jessica, Brandy and Rickie. Preceded in death by his son James G. Stern, parents, one brother and sister. Waldemar was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Korean Conflict. He was also a member of the VFW, Post #2260 in Oconomowoc. Funeral services for Waldemar will be held at Pagenkopf Funeral Home in Oconomowoc, on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 12:00 PM. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Burial will follow the service at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia.
