Wallace Allen Yeskie passed away January 20, 2024 after a short illness.
Wally was born in Wisconsin, received his Mechanical Engineering degree from
University of Wisconsin. He married Sondra Melby and moved to Kansas City, Kansas.
Then he was drafted and spent two years in Washington, DC before returning to Kansas and his position at Marley. He later joined Hallmark Cards for twenty-eight years.
Sondra, his first wife was lost in the tragic car accident that left him a paraplegic in 1982. Wally and Lin were married in 1985 and moved to Los Lunas, New Mexico from Overland Park, Kansas in 2014.
Wally enjoyed bird watching, bridge, and travel. He was a Boy Scout leader for twenty-two years and received the Lamb and Silver Beaver Awards.
Lin, his three children, Mark, Kay and Ronda, their spouses and his seven grandchildren and Pete, his stepson, will miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2 pm February 17 at our Villa at 500 Jubilee Blvd, Los Lunas and interment will be at the Johnson County Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, Kansas on his 90th birthday August 22.
