Wesley Smith Obituary
He managed the garage at the Oho State University Hospital. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, enjoyed playing senior chair volleyball and the senior lunch program at the church.
Wesley is survived by his sister, Renee (Jeff) Slyh of Pataskala; brother, Keith (Teri) Smith of Florida; step-son, Michael (Tish) Lyons of Zanesville; step-grandchildren, Galen Lyons, Jaden Lyons, Kayleb Lyons and Sammy Lyons; nephews, P.J. Bowen, Christopher Smith, Andrew (Malinda) Slyh and Caleb (Kayla) Slyh and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, the love of his life, Kay Lyons Smith, sons, Paul Matthew Smith and Wesley Edward Smith, parents, Emmett and Faette Yvonne Smith, Jr., brother, James Ogle Smith, Sr., nephews, James Ogle Smith Jr. and Joshua Todd Slyh.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church with Rev. Ben Foulk officiating. Friends may visit 1 hour prior to the service at the church. A private inurnment will be at Basil Memorial Cemetery at a later date. Caring Cremation® is being handled by the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, BALTIMORE, OHIO.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Christ United Methodist Church, 700 S. Main St., Baltimore, Ohio 43105.

Oh my. I am so sorry. I worked with him in OSU's hospital garage. What a Great guy Wesley was. I have thought about him numerous times through the years and miss him dearly. He made a big difference in my life. The kind person he was. R.I.P my friend. You are always in my heart!!! Condolences to the Smith family

I knew Weslely a very short time but he was a very funny sweet person. He was engaged to my daughter for such a short time but he made her very happy. He will be missed. But he is in heaven with our savior now. May God bless those he left behind.
