William B. Hutchins III

Bruce Hutchins will never be forgotten. He went through a lot, but got to live a good life. Priscilla was the perfect wife for him. I remember well his illness and all that he and Priscilla went through. Who wouldn't love Bruce and remember him always.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I had the honor of working with Mr. Hutchins at Alabama Power in the late 1990s. Such a fine, fine man. I will never forget his wonderful sense of humor and his laugh. He was a servant leader, and everyone loved him.

Bruce was a man of the highest integrity, moral character and, most importantly, a Godly man. It was my great honor and pleasure to work for and learn so much from Bruce Hutchins for many years. May God rest his soul and give comfort to Priscilla, Fran, Chris and the entire family.

Bruce was a man of character, wisdom and humor. I had the privilege of working and knowing him at AL Power. His legacy is unmatched. Bruce had a way of letting his co-workers know they mattered. Bruce will be missed by so many in so many places. He was a great neighbor, Bama fan, Lions Club member, church member, but most of all a family man. A friend to all. He enjoyed his retired life at Lake Tuscaloosa. We would see him out walking or riding a jet ski or 4-wheeler. Often he was seen at a ball game, gymnastic event or fund raiser...a serious BAMA fan. He was cultivating BAMA fever in his beloved grandchildren. What a great guy. Good memories to all that knew and loved him.

Bruce was a man of integrity, professional expertise, dedication to his family and faith. He was an outstanding Chief Financial Officer of Alabama Power Co for many years. I had the pleasure of learning and working with Bruce for decades. Bruce was as great of an individual as he was in his professional life. All of us who knew Bruce will truly miss him - A GREAT MAN. What a big loss to the world with the passing of Bruce Hutchins, III. Such a kind, gentle man who was full of wisdom, had a heart for Jesus and a very caring individual. I was so blessed to work with him through North River Church. I can truly say that heaven gained a wonderful soul with Bruce Hutchins and I am very sad at his passing. So sorry for your loss. I met Mr. Hutchins through Alabama softball, he was an awesome man, always smiling. He will be greatly missed.
