William "Bill" Joseph Mercier Jr.; age 75 of Metamora. Bill was born May 10, 1947 and passed away February 27, 2023. Survived by his wife of 54 years Dianne; children Angella (Dan) Sherman, Jason Mercier, and Emily (Brian Dougherty) Liolli; grandchildren Cassandra, Greyson, Caitlyn (Leo) Russo, Grace, Maggie, and Gabriella; brother of Patrick (Dara) Mercier, Judy Mercier, Margaret Castleman, Rebecca (Craig) Comstock, and the late Karen Mercier.
Bill retired from General Motors as a Millwright; was an avid golfer and talented woodworker. He was so very proud of his service to his country in the US Army and combat service in Vietnam as a member of the 82nd and 101st Airborne Division. Bill passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. Family meant so much to him.
In lieu of flowers, suggested memorials may be made to The Kirk Gibson Foundation for Parkinson's.
