I worked with Bill for several years on New York Squad C-25. What a great guy and a great detective. Always kind and with a great sense of humor.

I never realized how much we talked. I noticed it more with passing football season, and of course, with all the social stuff going on. He must be `rolling over“ right now. I miss those talks.
Rest In Peace, Bill.

Wow, I met Bill and Catherine doing what we like to do best! EAT! My last memory was splitting a Large layered Piece of cake for lunch with Bill. He was quiet but wise. He was a sweet man. I respected him highly. He was knowledgeable about just about anything. "Bill how do you get rid of cracks in the driveway?" Bill had an answer. Bill what do you think about.......? "Donna I tell you what......" Thats how he started out every sentence that would provide wisdom. My heart goes out to Catherine and the rest of the family. I will miss Bill!!! He suffered, but now he is in no more pain. God bless.

Bill will always be in our hearts. God bless his Mom Irene and his Wife Catherine who made him very Happy. We wish the best for his Children who will miss him so much.
He was a proud Veteran and a great NYPD Detective. Being a Giants fan we all knew to better not call him when they lost.
We always enjoyed his quick wit and when he smiled he lit up the room. He was a friend everyone would want to have .
Rest well Bill

Where do I begin? I've know Bill for over 60 years. After Catherine and he moved to Florida, we communicated mostly by phone. Mostly, we spoke of the NY Giants, which, with the exception of two years, contained mostly expletives. I flew down in October so we could watch the Giants play the Eagles on Thursday night. Unfortunately, even then he didn't feel well enough to watch the whole game. (Or, so he said. Giants got butts kicked!)
As teenagers, I remember playing Knucks' (A game where you stuck your hands out, while other guy attempted to hit your knuckles with a comb!) We would do this in 20 degree weather under a street light, and wonder why our hands hurt so much when we went inside!! That's what kids did for entertainment before cell phones!!
I am really going to miss our phone calls. I know it will hit me during football season.
Good bye, pal. You've had a great life. I have always said there is no one I'de rather be in a foxhole with!
