William has been cremated and his ashes will be placed in a grave site in Port Matilda, PA already containing the ashes of his late wife Donna Jean Walters. William, also known as Willy or Bill, was born October 8, 1939, in Vincennes, IN to the late William H. and Cecelia Walters. He attended Sacred Heart Elementary and Central Catholic High School in Vincennes. After high school he served in the Army from July of 1957 to July of 1960. He chose the career of Journeyman Electrician, which took him to various parts of the country. He met his late wife Donna Jean at Sky Top restaurant in State College, PA. They were married on June 30, 1966, and moved to Denver, CO where they began raising a family. Willy and Donna lived in Kremmling, CO from 1971 to 1979 where he enjoyed snowmobiling, bowling, and poker with his friends. They moved to Buffalo, WY in 1979 where they lived for 8 years. Willy’s career then took him to New Jersey, Ohio, and Denver before settling in Cheyenne, WY in 2003, where he lived until the time of his death. Willy enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, especially telling them stories of his childhood.  He loved a good breakfast, his two little dogs, Taco and Bella, playing Euchre, and driving around town to see the sights.

Willy is survived by his three children; Michele Whipple and Shelley Johnson of Cheyenne, and Scott Walters and wife Stephanie of Canyon City, CO; son in law John Johnson of Anchorage, AK; one sister, Luella (Cece) Rediess of DeKalb, TX; and six grandchildren-Ryan and Jonathon Whipple, Jenna Whipple Hall, Chris and Alex Johnson, and Jamie Walters. He was preceded in death by his parents, his youngest sister, a sister that died from pneumonia as a small child, his son in law Robert Whipple, and his late wife Donna.
