Jim and I were very close during our school years in Newark, Ohio.
Jim was one of those rare persons, gifted with both superior left and right brain abilities.
We shared a similar background, as having experiences that come from families who father“s were career military.
We both traveled in my VW to Florida one year, during the Winter break, spending Christmas Eve in Naples.
Disney World was still under construction when we traveled through it, although the Geodesic Dome was completed.
We spent many weekends attending concerts and romancing the local girls, in Licking County.
No doubt it Jim, you were a true head-over-heels...romantic kind of guy.
Jim and his brothers were excellent musicians, Jim also played Bass guitar in "Cold Steel", his rock band.
Jim adored his daughter Allison and was a totally devoted Dad.
I later migrated to my native Pacific Northwest, but we always connected...whenever I was back in Ohio.
I will always remember you Jim and can see your resemblance, in the faces of Allison and your grandchildren.
Rest in eternal peace old friend, you left this world better off for having lived here.

Allison, I worked with your father on and off for about ten years and got to know him fairly well. We shared some stories since we were the same age and the one thing I will always remember is the glow in his eye whenever he talked about you. I may have met you once for about a minute but I know that you were the best thing that ever happened in Jim's life and I'm sure that you're marriage and his grandchildren are the stars in his crown. Don't ever forget to tell them what a great man he was.

I was very saddened to hear that James has passed away. It brought back many memories of our years at NC. He was the best biology partner ever.
