Kathy A. Kirkbride

NEWARK: A funeral service, to celebrate the life of Kathy A. Kirkbride, 56 of Newark, will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 5:00 PM at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, with Rev. Robert Willmann officiating. Calling hours will be held two hours prior to the service on Wednesday from 3:00-5:00 PM at the funeral home.

Kathy was born in Newark on December 8, 1954 to the late Twila (Milam) Walpole and Wilbur Kidd of Georgia. She passed away at Licking Memorial Hospital on November 6, 2011 while surrounded by family.

Kathy was a devoted homemaker. She enjoyed putting puzzles together and playing bingo. Most important in her life was spending time with her family, especially spoiling her grandchildren.

In addition to her father, survivors include her husband of 25 years, Timothy Kirkbride, whom she married on December 4, 1986; three sons, John Ryan, Jeremy (Heather) Davis and Steven (Melissa Davis) Jewell; five grandchildren, Jeremy Davis Jr., Kayla Davis, Brittany Jewell, Stephanie Jewell and Steven Jewell Jr.; brothers and sisters, Jeffrey Kidd, Robert (Joan) Kidd, Randy (Elaine) Kidd, Anna (Robin Goslin) Gallagher, Michael (Dale Davis) Walpole, Robin Davis, Chad (Kim) Kidd, Chris Kidd, Joseph Walpole, Wanda Walpole, Ronald Walpole, Edward (Freda) Walpole, Neil (Jerry Sue) Walpole, Pete Walpole and Bea Walpole; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by one sister, Lisa and nephew, Chuckie Gallagher.
