Vodra Moore Obituary
Vodra Hugh Moore, Sr., 92, went to be with the Lord, Monday, June 19, 2023, at his home surrounded by family. He retired from American Enka/BASF after over 30 years of service. He was a member of Leadvale Baptist Church in White Pine and a member of the Warrensburg Lodge No. 631 F & AM. Vodra was an amateur blacksmith, enjoyed piloting small airplanes, rebuilding antique radios, and a local farmer for many years.
Preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Veta (Holt) Moore; brother Ermal (Hazel) Moore, and niece, Erma Jean Moore.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Mary Jean (Talley) Moore; children, Hugh (Ann Cross) Moore of Morristown, Robert F. (Mary) Moore of Bybee; Elizabeth Moore of Morristown, Timothy E. (Lisa) Padgett, North Yarmouth, ME, step-daughters, Rebecca (Delain) Wright of Whitinsville, MA, Pamela (Geoffery) Eubank of Pandora, OH; grandchildren, Rodney (Kellie), Jeremy (Candy), Samantha (Tony), Tyler and Ashlyn, Andrew, Nathan (Jessie), Sarah (Joel), Amanda, Weston, Amelia, Talley (Zach), Amberly (Gregory), and numerous great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday, June 22, 2023, from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. in the East chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Reverend Geoff Eubank officiating. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2023, in Glendale Methodist Church Cemetery in Bybee, TN.
Allen Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
