Amy L. Dawson

1965 - 2022

Amy L. Dawson, 57 of Concord Twp. and Ft. Myers, Florida, passed away November 3, 2022 at University Hospital, Cleveland. She was born June 19, 1965 in Gloversville, New York to the late Frank and Mary (Koziol) Zielonka.Amy was a 1983 graduate of McDowell High School in Erie, PA and a 1987 graduate of John Carroll University with a B.A. in Business Management. She worked in the financial field in various management roles with Bank One, as a private banker for Key Bank, Office Administrator for LEAF (Lake Educational Assistance Foundation) and Bond, Sippola and Dejoy. Since 2005 she has served Concord Twp first as assistant Fiscal Officer and since 2009 as Fiscal Officer as well as Fiscal Officer of the Kirtland Public Library. She was a graduate of Leadership Lake County and was active with Western Reserve Junior Service League. She enjoyed scrapbooking, traveling, and all things Disney.She is survived by her husband Bob. They were married May 23, 1992 and celebrated 30 years together this year. She also leaves her sons, Capt. Alec R. Dawson, USAF and wife Annie C. Dawson, (Veteran, USAF) and Capt. Ross E. Dawson, USAF, and her sister Shelley (Patrick) Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law James E. Dawson.The family will receive friends 2-4p & 6-8p Wednesday at the Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Avenue, Painesville.
