Kathleen J. "Kathy" Miller

Kathleen “Kathy” J. Miller age 80 of Painesville Twp, was called to heaven Saturday June 12, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. She was born December 21, 1940.Kathy was born in Pittsburgh Pa, she raised her family in Mentor, Ohio and was a 30 year resident of Painesville Township. A true small business success story, she started her career as a part-time bookkeeper and worked her way up to become a prominent and highly esteemed business owner of Kathleen J. Miller + Associates since 1972, retiring earlier this year. She became an Enrolled Agent in 1982.Mrs. Miller contributed to the success of Lake County's businesses, non-profit organizations and the community through accounting services to other small business owners, community service and fundraising activities. She also held office in the Northeast Chapter of Public Accountants Society of Ohio, a founding member of Women Business Owners of the Western Reserve and Quota Club of Lake County. She has served as the President of the Ohio Society of Enrolled Agents and has been on the Internal Revenue Service District Director & Advisory Board.Kathleen's loving kindness, integrity and contributions to the success of her family, friends, business associates, and the Lake County community as a whole will be greatly missed by many who had the privilege to know her.Survivors include her daughters: Terri (Mark Bregy) Miller and Sandra “Sandi” (David) Slater, grandchildren: Anna Blackie, Alyse M. and Amy L. Allison, great-grandchildren: Damion, Haidyn and Gianna, brother: Ronald (Janet) Taylor), sister in law: Elizabeth Edinger and brother in law: Bob BlackPreceding Kathleen in death are her parents: Ronald and Elizabeth Taylor, siblings: Nancy Black and Stephen Taylor and former husband: Jeffrey P.
