Natalie Kumel Obituary
Born June 29, 1931, in Loudonville, she had lived in Wickliffe before moving to Mentor in 1973.
Mrs. Kumel was a teacher with the Cleveland Public Schools for 34 years prior to her retirement.
Since her retirement, she had volunteered with R.S.V.P., at the Lake County Historical Society and the Cleveland Christmas Connection. She attended Harvey High School and Ohio University where she obtained her bachelor's degree. A loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Natalie will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Survivors are her son, Michael Wollet of Lake Balboa, Calif.; grandchildren, Jenna and Jacqueline (along with their mother, Nancy); and brother, Cliff Whisler. She is also survived by nieces, Debbie and Becky; nephew, David; several loving great-nieces and great-nephews; and many friends.
Natalie was preceded in death by her first husband, William Wollet; and her parents, Max and Mary Whisler.
A celebration of life will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. The family will have a time of sharing at 5 p.m. Sunday following the celebration at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Kumel to the Lake County Historical Society, 415 Riverside Dr., Painesville Township, OH 44077 or to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110-2602 (donate online at www.hospicewr.org).

My sympathy to Natalie's family at this sad time. Natalie was my first grade teacher at Memorial Elementary School in the late 60's. A very nice lady to have left good memories after all these years. May God comfort you with many good memories as well.
