Haydee Gonzalez Obituary

Haydee Bahia Gonzalez of Ormond Beach, FL, passed away suddenly on March 21, 2018. She was born on September 12, 1944 in Balayan Batangas, Philippines to the late Rodolfo and Salud Bahia (Depusoy). She emigrated to New York in 1965. Haydee earned her Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition at Holy Spirit College. In 1974 she moved to the Palm Coast area and worked as a Public Health Nutritionist for the Florida Department of Health. Haydee was a deeply religious woman and was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church where she was very active. She was also a gifted artist who loved to paint all types of acrylic paintings. In her younger years she enjoyed playing tennis and dancing. Haydee was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Cheryl Anne Gonzalez in 1974. Survivors include her children, James Patrick Gonzalez, Leo Conrad Gonzalez; grandchildren, Leilani Bahia Gonzalez, Myles Aric Gonzalez; sisters, Alegria Bahia Reitberg, Yolanda Crisol, Ileana B. Guadiz and many more loving relatives and friends. Donations in her memory may be made to a Catholic charity of your choice. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 26, 2018 at 11 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Inurnment will be held at a future date at Flagler Memorial Gardens.
