Toni Lynn Engel

Toni Lynn Engel, 59, of Ash Grove, passed away on Friday afternoon, June 12, 2009, in the Ash Grove Health Care Center, following a short illness. Toni was the daughter of Robert Mason and Billie Jean Johnson Engel, and was born March 19, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri. She grew up in the Cuba, Missouri, area and graduated from Cuba High School and from Forest Park Junior College in St. Louis, and later attended M.S.U., with a very strong determination to fulfill her wishes to complete her education with a B.S. Degree in Psychology. She was very strong and compassionate with determination to help others, she was independent and accomplished many of her dreams. She was a homemaker and held membership in the Ash Grove First Christian Church. Toni is survived by her mother Billie Jean; step-father Donald Dean Kelley both of Troy, Mo.; sister Terry and husband Don Magness, Bois D'Arc; brother Robert Michael and wife Anna Engel, of Kitzign, Germany, three nieces and a nephew, Theresa and Jennifer Engel, Valarie Magness, and Greg and wife Jean Ann Magness; and three grand-nieces, Fallon, Savannah, and Kendall Belle Magness. Memorial services and a celebration of Toni's life will be Wednesday morning, June 17, 2009, at 10 a.m., in Wilson Brim-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel, Ash Grove, with the Rev. Tom Geer and Richard Virnig officiating, with internment at a later time, in Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Mo. According to Toni's wishes her body has been given for anatomical examination, which in turn, will help others. Following the memorial services the family will receive friends, fully enlightening them about Toni's life. Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Head Trauma Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
