Ruth Skold Obituary
Obituary
Ruth L. Skold, 88, of Cape Coral, FL, died Saturday, September 9, 2000 at the Gulf Coast Village Care Center. The daughter of the late Fred & Betty Lindman, she was born October 29, 1911 in Chicago, IL. She was a former resident of Clarendon Hills, IL where she worked as a legal secretary. Mrs. Skold moved to Cape Coral in 1978 with her husband Frank, who preceded her in death in 1993. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Cape Coral.
Survivors include her son Frank H. (wife Joann) Skold, Jr., Cookeville, TN. Her daughter Betty (husband Charles) Shogren, Pittsfield, MA. Six grandchildren; Heidi Spurgeon, Kevin Skold, Heather Skold, Erik Shogren, Kristin Dasilva, and Allison Wendling. Also surviving are five great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2000 at the Metz Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends for viewing one hour prior to the service (1:00 to 2:00 p.m.). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a Hospice of choice. Cremation arrangements by the Metz Chapel of Harvey Engelhardt Metz Funeral Homes, Cape Coral, FL.
