Walter was a witty guy with a funny sense of humor. You never knew when he was serious or joking but most of the time just joking. He was one of the best K9 Officers in the country. He will be missed and his talent will also be missed. Rest In Peace.

I'm sitting here today mourning the loss of a great guy. Over the years I have heard many of our clergy say, we are not gathered here to mourn the loss of someone like Walter but rather we are here to celebrate their life. Well after knowing Walter, those words are most fitting today. To the Morse family, I'm sorry for your loss, but please rejoice in knowing that Walter will never be forgotten by all those who came into contact with him.

I can't believe that it has been four years since we lost Walter, a great father, husband, dog trainer and someone that I shared many laughs with over the 45 years that I knew him. Even after he retired, he found a new passion going to spring training games and chasing ballplayers for their autographs. It was at a Red Sox vs Twins game that I and Joe Mastrolli last saw Walter roaming the stadium. We went to dinner that night shortly before he got sick and he was still as entertaining that day as he was the first time I met him, "chewing" on his pipe. May you rest in peace Walter, and may your family have some comfort in knowing that you will always be remembered as one of the "good guys."

We are all sad to hear today of Walter's passing here at Labcorp in Lehigh Acres. Walter was one of our favorite patients, we enjoyed him coming in and his stories about his training the k9 dogs back in Massachusetts and his funny sense of humor. Walter brought us peppermint lifesavers everytime he came in, he would hand each of us two no matter what. Even if Walter didn't feel good he was always so nice to us. I'm really going to miss him.

My condolences to the Morse Family. I had the opportunity to work with Walter for many years on the police Dept. No question he was witty but his experience with his dog Butch had no equals in the USA. He was number 1. Walter played an important role of our recognition in the infancy of the MBTA Police. He will always be remembered.
