A great coach and a great man. He did so much for so many. In my day of westling, he was very "self-less" and cared more about making his wrestlers happy than his own vanity; he brought in our new assistant coach (Venti) because he knew that's what we needed and let Gary Venti run the show even though he was the head coach and had already coached state chapmions. He did that for us and was alwasy devoted to his wresters and students. I remember telling gary Venti several times, after high school, that Mr. Dink was under appreceated and I wished I visited him when I had the chance. Rest in peice my great coach; you eanred it!!

Going into high school I had no plans on wrestling. So when the season started my sophomore year and I did not show for practice Coach Dinkelmeyer tracked me down in the hallway the next day during school. The day after that he showed up at one of my classes. I stuck to my guns initially, but he did not give up and after a few days he finally convinced me I was making a mistake. He was right of course and within a few weeks I was in the starting varsity lineup. I did not know it at the time, but I needed wrestling. It has taught me incredible life lessons and given me the greatest friends. Thanks for everything coach and rest in peace.

Coach was one of the greats! He was so welcoming to me when I joined the faculty at EMHS. A humble gentleman who was always willing to help in any way possible. Rest in Peace.

Had coach Dink for a gym teacher. He was funny smart and would always let me slide when it came to making up gym classes. Many fond memories of his classes in my high school years. Till we meet again coach. RIP
