Edmund Holmes

HOLMES-Brother Edmund, O.S.F., died on Friday, December 9, 2005. Brother was born on August 11, 1908. He was a Franciscan Brother of Brooklyn from 1929 until his death. Brother was a Professor at St. Francis College, Brooklyn Heights, N.Y., for many years and a Counselor at Camp Alvernia in Centerport, N.Y., for over 50 years. Brother Edmund is survived by his sister Mary Bickford, a brother Michael Holmes, three nieces: Barbara Tuck of Great Neck, N.Y., Virginia Fahey of Syosset, N.Y., and Maureen Lawrence. Wake will be held at St. Francis Monastery at Mount Alvernia, 103 Prospect Road, Centerport, N.Y., on Monday, December 12th, and Tuesday, December 13th, from 2-4 PM and from 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, December 14th, at 10:30 AM, at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs R.C. Church, Prospect Road, Centerport, N.Y. Interment, Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, N.Y.
