Dear Janet.....
Another summer holiday together with your beautiful grandchildren and your future fourth grandchild...we don't know if it's a boy or a girl, but I'm sure you know...due mid-September.
We gave Peggy a small surprise shower and Bob made sure to wrap all his presents with extra scotch tape just like you used to do...we smiled about that.
We all said prayer before dinner and said how we missed all those who have gone before us...GG, Janet, and Melissa. Will always miss you and love you all, until I know we will meet again. With everlasting memories, Ann

Dearest Janet,
Denny & I spent a week with your grandchildren, Angela who is a beautiful teenager with such a great talent for drawing; Christian who has sprouted up and is just a little taller than Angela (he was happy about that); and of course the'munchkin' Julia who I felt very close to as I looked at her and she reminded me of Melissa with the big brown eyes and the slightly adolescent chubby stage (compared to her siblings)...we watched Ice Age II and she also helped me pack. It was good to get away with family and I flopped around in the pool one evening and looked up at all th e stars and thought of you and Melissa. I still miss you both so much...that will never end, but it was the first time I could laugh and enjoy sweet memories of you and Missy. Much love as always, Ann.

Dear Janet....it's hard to realize that almost two years have gone by without you....and now with the untimely passing of your niece Melissa, I can only hope and wish that you are together in God's Kingdom. I do miss you so Jan as I know you would have been my solace and support through the grieving of our Melissa....maybe the Lord didn't want you to have to suffer through the great loss and wanted you in his Kingdom first to greet Missy on the way.
Wonderful memories of you and our families together is the only thing that keeps me going.
Until we all meet again in a better and peaceful world.....

Well its Autumn early November and I know your birthday has come and gone....of course you never counted them and I remeber when I made those weekly Saturday phone calls to you (and I had forgotten it was your birthday) you always made me feel good by saying 'oh, you're calling for my birthday'...and then I didn't feel goofy that I had forgotten. So now you would have been 63 :) :) and I will never tell.
With love and great memories.....

Dearest Janet.....Denny and I were finally able to say 'goodbye'. Bob was kind enough to drive us all to the cemetary in N.Y. Yes, I cried because I will always miss you so...but I feel more at peace with my loss and know I must go on with my life with Denny and my children.
The Freeman family and Jenkins family in Virginia cherish so many memories of you Janet in their hearts that your name is mentioned with love and laughter always.

Janet and I were friends. I miss her a lot and think of her often. She helped me with Face Painting during the Grandchildren's party for two years. She organized a "standing ovation" for my step-daughter, when she was visiting us from her army base in Kuwaait. She belonged to all of the same clubs and organizations that I did. I never heard her say anything negative about anyone, or complain about anything. She spoke of her love for her family and her love of watching figure skating. Janet was funny, caring and dependable. She was a lovely person. I wish she were here.

it's sure sad to hear about janet's untimely passing last february at this time of year.
we met during a nurse refresher course in stony brook university and suffered through all the nonsense they threw our way.
we were teamed up the first night to exchange information about each other. i mentioned that we just had a litter of weimaraners and janet said she used to have one. out of that simple conversation i gained a friend and a family for one of our pups - winter. winter was named by scott and tara.
it's always a plus when you have a wonderful home for a pup you have bred, and winter's forever home was a loving and caring one.
janet you could always make me laugh - you had such a dry sense of humor. how about the times we would go out to lunch, sit down, look at the menu, and decide, heck we don't want to eat here. guess we got a lot of strange looks - but we didn't care. life's too short to eat somewhere you don't want to!!!
tom and i moved upstate ny, then to kentucky, so over the years our friendship was limited to the yearly christmas card, mine with pictures of whatever dogs lived with us at the time, and janet's with letters telling me what went on that year, also with pictures of family.
i'll sure miss those yearly reminisces.
janet, please know i will always think of you, with a smile on my face. rest in peace, dear one.

Dear Janet....
It is only now after seven months since you left this world and have gone before us to be with our heavenly Father, that I can accept I will not see you or talk to you until we are together again in a much better world. It is a most difficult reality, but I will continue to rejoice in all the memories we shared during the past fourty years.
I will write again, when my emotions will allow.

To My Dear Friend Janet,
We have traveled life's road for 54 years. You were a warm, special friend to me. One good thing from this was you didn't have to suffer.
I miss your phone calls, letters, trips, visits, and all the plans wehad made together. Now I think I understand why you called me so many times the week before you were leaving for Florida. Someone must have been beckoning you then.
Bob, Scott, Tara, and your Grandchildren are special too. You sure did a great job here, over the years.
We're all sad, and lonely, without you now, but we will carry on the best we can.
Till we meet again !!

Janet, we miss you!
We grew up together as first cousins - lost track of one another in later years - however my parents always kept me informed about you & Bob & the children.
In later years we became good friends via the telephone. We had many long & fun talks! I talked to you the night before you left for Florida & I'm so glad I did - you were so excited about your trip.
You were a wonderful wife to Bob & mother to Scott & Tara & grandmother to Angela, Christian, and Julia.
You are loved & missed by so many family members & friends!
May you rest in peace, Janet!
Love,

Dear Bob and Family,
Bud and I want to extend to you and your family our sincere sympathies. We were shocked to hear of Janet's untimely death.
The last time I saw Janet was when her Mom died. Janet and I were best friends all through grammar school and high school and shared many happy times together. Over the years it was mostly Christmas greetings where we would catch up on each others lives.
We can only hope and pray that with time happy memories will ease the pain of your loss.
Sincere sympathies,
Audree & Bud Brown

My grandmother Janet, was very friendly and likeable. She had many friends to whom she always kept in touch with. Every week or so she would either call us or write to us to make sure she didn't miss anything in our lives. She was very unselfish by asking about you instead of telling about herself. I loved her very much for that. God bless my grandmother and may she rest in peace.
Your grandson,
Christian

A guiding light for my life
In my thoughts every day
The memories are many...I hold on to them.
Her love and support have always been so evident...from my childhood through fatherhood. And she gave that love and support not only to me but to every life she touched. Her light is within me for the rest of my life.
I loved her for NOT letting me buy a motorcycle when I turned 16 and for celebrating with me when I
passed French with a 65. I loved her for pushing my face in my breakfast cereal when I was teasing Tara. I loved her for reading to my kids. I loved just being with her.
Your loving son,
Scott

Janet & Bob were our neighbors in Closter, New Jersey when we met 40 years ago. And we got together even after they moved. We kept in touch all these years after we moved to California. Janet was such a gently, wonderful friend, that only comes once in a lifetime along life's way. We will miss her chatty holiday letters and pictures of the kids and grandchildren. May she rest in peace, we lost someone very special.

Although we only knew you for a short time, we did have a chance to appreciate your sincerity, warmth and friendly personality. We so much enjoyed your company when we went to the ice hockey game with you and Bob and appreciate all the time you willingly gave to the Four Seasons Community. In particular, your generosity with your time to the Red Hats and Gals on the Go will long be appreciated.

I have so many fond memories of you from our childhood through our adulthood. It was special sharing our summers in Rockaway Point. I have memories of you being in my bridal party. You were such a good godmother to Carol. You were always a warm and giving person. As we aged and the miles seperated us, I always enjoyed your letters and pictures. Your correspondence kept me up to date on your life and the activities of your grandchildren. I find it hard to believe that you are no longer with us. You will always be in my in my thoughts. My dearest Aunt. I remember hot summer evenings sitting on a gold couch together. I remember pep talks and talking about shared experiences. I remember calling every time I had a cold for advice. I just will always remember the love you've given me and the stories we made(stuffed shells and stairs) that I will keep remembering and now share with others. Love always...Michael

Invariably when one of us at Little Flower had a problem or was stressed out someone would say, "Ask Janet. She always has good ideas." That was Janet - a good listener, a great co-worker, someone we could always count on for support. On Monday 3-11's Pat Folta, Janet and I worked together. The three of us knew that whatever came our way we could handle together. Not only that but we'd have fun doing it!
Throughout the years Janet and I developed a very close personal friendship. She was one of the best friends I have ever had. I considered her the "big sister" I never had. We cared deeply about each other and talked at great length on the phone at least weekly even after she and Bob moved to New Jersey. When anything significant happened in my life Janet was the first person I’d call. We laughed together and sometimes cried together. One of our favorite topics was our grandchildren. I knew every time she found a bargain book at Border’s for Angela!
I miss Janet tremendously. So often I ache to pick up the phone and tell her the latest. My life was richer in so many ways because of her and I treasure the wonderful memories. I love you, Janet.

The best times of my childhood were the ones spent living next door to Janet at Rockaway Point every summer. She was a couple of years older than I and I looked up to her and wanted to be just like her. We had so many fun memories and I will miss sharing them with her. She was a wonderful friend.
