Lynn Whiting Obituary

Whiting - Lynn, June 30, 1962 â€" August 30, 2025. Kathryn "Lynn" Whiting, of Lake Ariel, PA, formerly of Long Island, NY, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and beloved pets, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She faced her illness with strength and grace, living life on her own terms. Lynn spent most of her life on Long Island, building a successful career in real estate and rising to Director of Property Management for a leading New York City firm. Her leadership earned her respect across the industry and recognition in publications. Lynn will be remembered for her generosity, compassion, and sharp wit. She dedicated years to rescuing and caring for feral cats, giving many a second chance at life. She supported many causes, most recently World Central Kitchen, showing her compassion for communities in need. She had a zest for living and always kept it interesting, often saying, "at least I wasn't boring." She is survived by Laura and Don Malone; Nora Whiting and Jarrod Gordon; Michael, Kevin, and David Malone; Lauren and Michael Chay and their daughter, Kairi. She will be deeply missed by her cherished pets Milo, Suzy, Buddy, and Sonny. Lynn's legacy is one of strength, generosity, and love. A memorial luncheon will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to an animal rescue organization or to World Central Kitchen.
