Felix C. Zacharzewski

SUNBURY — Felix C. Zacharzewski, 87, formerly of 310 N. Shamokin St., Shamokin, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, at Manor Care Health Services, where he was a guest for the past six years.

Born June 6, 1924, in Mount Carmel, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Fritek) Zacharzewski. He was raised in Mount Carmel and lived more than 40 years in Shamokin.

Felix was educated in St. Casimir's Grade School and attended Kulpmont High School.

On June 20, 1951, in St. Casimir's Church, Kulpmont, he married the late Rosella Dreher, who preceded him in death on March 23, 1971.

He was employed as a plant worker and driver for Boyertown Casket Company, Boyertown.

Survivors include two sons, Benjamin Zacharzewski, of Bellefonte, and Michael Zacharzewski and his wife, Teresa, of Sunbury; three grandchildren, Thomas, Jeffrey and Rose; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Anna Goodlunas, of Kulpmont, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, William, in 1993; a sister, Mary Rakowski, and three brothers, Benjamin Zacharzewski, Stanley Zacharzewski and Stanley Kalinoski.

ZACHARZEWSKI — Felix C. Zacharzewski, 87, formerly of 310 N. Shamokin St., Shamokin. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 1053 Chestnut St., Kulpmont, C.J. Lucas, supervisor, with The Rev. Andrew Stahmer officiating. Burial will be in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Marion Heights.
