Melinda A. Schneider

SHAMOKIN — Melinda A. Schneider, 59, of 47 S. Seventh St., passed away peacefully Monday, April 6, 2015, at her home.

Born in Shamokin, Dec. 2, 1955, she was a daughter of the late Mary C. (Mayton) and David A. Taylor.

Melinda was a graduate of Shamokin Area High School.

In December 2000, in Shamokin, she married Michael Schneider, who survives. Mike and Melinda were together for 18 years.

She was a homemaker and caregiver for her father. Her husband Mike says, "I love you," and she will be forever missed by him, more than she'd ever know, and also by other family and friends.

In addition to her loving and devoted husband, Melinda is survived by sons, William D. Kreisher, of Paxinos, and Robert G. Kreisher and his wife, Dianna, of Newport News, Va.; a sister, Debra Carter, of Delaware; a brother, Mark Taylor, of Rhode Island; two stepsisters, Diane Silkowskie, and her husband, LeRoy, of Connecticut, and Linda Schwarz; a stepbrother, Steve Bielskie, and his wife, Rose, of Kulpmont; a dear friend, Lois Hartman, of Irish Valley; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and her little buddy, Chopper.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Ann Taylor, in 1973, and several other brothers and sisters.
